HENDERSONVILLE — William Emanuel (Blue Tooter) Collington, 76, of Hendersonville, died Jan. 7, 2013, at Elizabeth House in Flat Rock.
He was born in Buncombe County to the late William Collington and the late Hazel Hill Collington.
He was employed by Wayne Pace and Tony Hill with Apple Ridge Farm in Dana.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Mae Hankton Collington; sons, Kent Collington and Jeffrey Collington, both of Hendersonville, and Roland Dodd, of Hendersonville; daughters, Donna Collington, of Spartanburg, S.C., and Debbie Roundtree, of Hendersonville; a sister, Geneva Shade, of Arden; stepchildren, Jeffrey Brown, of Hendersonville and Sally (Leslie) Hawkins, of Tampa, Fla., an aunt, Evelyn Portiller, of Asheville, and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Keith Emanuel Collington.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, at Union Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. B.T. Waters officiating. Visitation will be held from noon until the time of service at the church.
Wilson Funeral Directors, Hendersonville, is in charge of the arrangements.
