TUXEDO — Raymond H. McCarson, 92, of Tuxedo, N.C., passed away Sunday, December 16, 2012. He was a native and lifelong resident of Henderson County. He was preceded in death by his parents, Milton and Lora Emma Jane Corn McCarson; his wife, Ruth Beddingfield McCarson; and several brothers and sisters.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII serving in the European Theater, worked for Camp Greystone, retired from Cranston Print Works and was a member of Tuxedo First Baptist Church.
He is survived by a daughter, Linda M. McMurray and husband, Kirk, of Flat Rock; two grandsons, Roger McMurray and wife, Renn, and Matthew McMurray and his wife, Holly; one great-grandson, Baker Carson McMurray; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Tuxedo First Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Mikell Bennett officiating.
