ETOWAH — Thomas J. Frain Sr., 71, of Etowah, N.C., passed away on Jan. 3, 2013, at the Elizabeth House, Flat Rock, N.C.
He was a son of the late Martin and Frances Duschinsky Frain. He was also preceded in death by three sisters, Catherine McDonough, Marian Vargas, and Barbara O’Leary.
Mr. Frain was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church where he was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #8886. He was very active in many ministries through Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
He is also survived by his wife, Della M. “Cookie” Frain, of 21 years; three daughters, Kelli Morlock, of Portage, Ind., Kathryn Metcalf, of San Diego, Calif., and Heather Caropepe, of St. Joe, Mich.; one step-daughter, Dawn Holub, of Douglas, Mich.; two sons, Thomas J. Frain, Jr., of Ogden Dunes, Ind., and Nicholas Frain, of Indianapolis, Ind.; three brothers, Martin, James and Patrick Frain; one sister, Frances Aguire; 12 grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Jan. 7, 2013, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Patrick Toole officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the fellowship hall.
